PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
Additionally, when you submit the enquiry or message forms through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, telephone number and email address.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
If you complete and submit either of the enquiry or message forms, the information is transferred securely to our web server and immediately transmitted to the members of staff responsible for responding to enquiries.
The data is stored remotely using secure, third-party cloud computing services located within the UK; it is used to facilitate a response to your enquiry.
If you then go on to enter into business with us by engaging our mortgage services, we will request further personal data from you at that time and will provide further details of how your data will be used.
We will generally keep your personal data for a minimum of 7 years after our business relationship, after which time it will be destroyed if it is no longer required for the lawful purposes for which it was obtained. However, if you are working in a certified or senior manager role, we may keep your information longer as a legitimate business interest. This does not override your right to have your personal data erased from our system as detailed below in the section “YOUR RIGHTS”.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk, and more generally to improve and optimise our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
